In life, we will face trials and tribulations, heartaches and celebrations. Take it to the river that is Him. Let the water wash your pain away and replace it with strength. He will turn your mourning into gladness and fear into peace.
Have you ever been walking through life and all of a sudden something knocks you right off your feet? But it doesn’t just do that, it shakes your whole world like an earthquake or a volcano blowing. And all you want is to find something solid to hold onto, but your usual strongholds are shaking too.
I know exactly how that feels. I’ve had that happen a few times in my life. Let’s just say, it’s never fun! But one thing I’ve learned is that the one place we can turn to, that we can always count on is God. He’s a stronghold that never dies, never shakes, and never disappears. He’s always waiting patiently, willing to help us whenever we call His name, and full of unconditional love to fill us up and heal us.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. I’m going through hell over here. I need to see something right now. I need to feel peace right now. I need Him to fix this problem or situation right now.
Notice the words “right now” being repeated. That’s exactly how we think these days. If we can’t fix it or get relief from our pain immediately, we think it’s a bad thing. But you’ve heard the sayings “Pain is a good thing, or if you can’t fix it, the problem isn’t going anywhere, just wait the answer will come.”
With God, pain and problems are not necessarily bad things but teaching things. Sometimes the struggle is needed in order to become the stronger version of yourself God intended you to be, just like the caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
I’m here to say. Don’t be afraid of the problem or the pain. Ask God to give you peace just like He had peace in the storm on the water. Have a little faith. Stand in faith and believe He will show the answers. He will take your pain away in time. As you do that, He will encourage you by showing you your strength in the storm. Others will not understand your peacefulness, but you will. And because of that supernatural peace, you will notice the pain fleeting as you grow in confidence.
Just believe:) Before you know it, the struggle will be over, and you will see a new you in the end.
